Christoper John Francis Boone knows all the countries of the world and their capitals and every prime number up to 7,057. He relates well to animals but has no understanding of the human emotions. He cannot stand to be touched. And he detest the color yellow.

This Improbable story of Christoper's quest to investigate of the suspicious death of a neighborhood dog makes for one of the most captivating, unusual and widely heralded novels in recent years.

First time my eyes catch the simple cover of this book was few years ago, and up till now it is still my favorite cover all the time. But I didn't buy the book that time because it bit pricey (that time) in Indonesia. So I added it to my to-read list for several years until I find the second-hand-book website www.betterworldbooks.com. I got it for USD 7 only in very well conditions. The cover bit folded but the pages are complete.

Still, after I bought it last month, there is plenty of books wait to be read, but sure I prioritize it in first.

Well, the title is bit tricky for the first time. People will thought this is story about dog. I don't know may be in a world where dog talk to each other, but no this is story about astonishing young boy named Christopher Boone.

Just like described in the blurbs, Christoper is a very unique boy, he has a very strong memory and excel in mathematics. He is doing well with animals but not with human. He can't understand human emotions, barely follow metaphor like describe it here:

I Find People confusing.
There is for two main reasons.
The first main reason is that people do a lot of talking without using any words.
The second main reason is that people often talk using metaphor.

He also hate irregularity. When things are not in a place where used to be, he will scream. When he receives too much new information, his brain will went blank and makes him scream. That's why he hate visiting new and crowded place.
One night, he found a dog belong to his neighbor died. His smart brain find it unusually death that's why he decided to investigate it and write it in his book. But this incident lead him to the unexpected truth and new journey. How he find that his mother is actually still alive, and the truth about his fathers.

He forced to do a journey to take a train to London by his self. With his special conditions, it is almost impossible to do that journey.

This book is giving us, the readers a very rich information about perspective of a boy with Aspergers syndrome. We will finally understand why they tend to scream out loud suddenly, why they are hate to be touched. Also, with reading this book we finally understand the feelings of the boy's family without being judgy.

The book is very heartwarming, funny and sad. I like it though I bit lost it in the middle. But this kinda book that want to be read fast without being lost its meaning. Very recommended!

Strange Weather in Tokyo by Hiromi Kawakami

Strange Weather in Tokyo Tsukiko, thirty-eight, works in an office and lives alone. One night, she happens to meet one of her former high school teachers, "Sensei," in a local bar. Tsukiko had only ever called him "Sensei" ("Teacher"). He is thirty years her senior, retired, and presumably a widower. Their relationship develops from a perfunctory acknowledgment of each other as they eat and drink alone at the bar, to a hesitant intimacy which tilts awkwardly and poignantly into love. As Tsukiko and Sensei grow to know and love one another, time's passing is marked by Kawakami's gentle hints at the changing seasons: from warm sake to chilled beer, from the buds on the trees to the blooming of the cherry blossoms. Strange Weather in Tokyo is a moving, funny, and immersive tale of modern Japan and old-fashioned romance.  **** Strange Weather in Tokyo Author : Hiromi Kawakami Translator : Allison Markin Powell Published
